Shebang clinches deal to run Asda ‘mobile centres’
Shebang has clinched a deal to run Asda’s upcoming ‘mobile centres’.
The move comes just weeks after the distributor walked away from its £20m deal with Tesco.
Shebang is thought to be providing similar services to its previous deal with Tesco, including handsets and contract supply and its Sellfone EPOS security software.
Last week, Mobile exclusively revealed that Asda is poised to launch ‘mobile centres’ selling contract and prepaid handsets to customers, in a bid to take on Tesco and Carphone Warehouse. The launch date is yet to be confirmed.
Only a fortnight ago, it emerged that Shebang would stop working with Tesco from 1 October.
Asda confirmed that Shebang would run its concessions. Shebang was unavailable for comment.
