INQ launches in Canada

UK handset manufacturer INQ has started selling its handsets in Canada. The manufacturer launched for the first time in North America on 28 July.

Two operators in Canada, Telus and Koodo, will launch the INQ Chat 3G. The deal with the operators will expose INQ to 6.5 million Canadian mobile users.

The Canadian market operates in a similar way to the UK market, as the networks subsidise handsets. Telus will be offering the INQ Chat for free if a customer takes out a 24 month contract.

INQ, which is now operating in 12 countries including Canada, is expected to launch an Android handset in the near future.

INQ also recently launched in Australia with Vodafone and 3.
