November launch tipped for RIM's Blackberry tablet
Research in Motion is tipped
to launch a Blackberry tablet to challenge the Apple iPad this November.
Bloomberg News reports that
the launch date is set for November, citing two sources close to RIM's plans.
The Canadian manufacturer registered Blackpad.com as a domain name last
month, raising speculation that this will be the name of the tablet device.
Sources at RIM say the BlackBerry
tablet will have a seven-inch screen, front and rear facing cameras for video conferencing, 1080p
functionality and Flash support.
It is expected to be priced
at a similar level to the iPad.
