LG adds to Cookie range for September launch
LG will be launching three new touch-screen handsets as part of its Cookie series in September.
The new Cookie series, which will all have full touch-screens, are aimed at ‘Generation Z’. LG sees ‘Generation Z’ as ‘young mobile phone users who enjoy expressing themselves in unique and stylish ways, whether by phone or one of today’s most popular social networking tools’.
The three new handsets, the LG Cookie, Cookie Style and Cookie 3G are designed to support social networking, offer enhanced music services and a customizable interface.
The LG Cookie has a 2.4 inch screen, the LG Cookie Style has a 2.8 inch LCD screen and is available in several colour variants.
LG claims the LG Cookie 3G is ‘a perfect choice not only for Generation Z but also for digitally active people who cannot compromise on network connectivity and design.’
Sources have previously suggested that LG’s range of handsets was lacking a flagship smartphone. However, the manufacturer sold 2 million Cookies in the UK last year.
LG UK & IReland marketing director, Paul Trueman said: 'The LG Cookie Series was created with a young audience in mind – for people who rely on using their phone for socialising with their friends and keeping up to date.
'LG wanted to create the ideal touchphone that will fit in with the unique lifestyle needs of the younger generation. The range emphasises features such as versatile texting function, enhanced music options, and offers customisable, unique design.'
