Fone Solutions goes into compulsory liquidation

Fone Solutions has been placed into compulsory liquidation following a winding up petition issued by Redress Financial Management.

The petition to wind up Look and Listen Ltd, which trades as Fone Solutions, was heard at Newcastle County Court yesterday.

FoneSolutions was unavailable for comment as Mobile went to press.

Last month the Gateshead dealer was dropped by Vodafone as a Yes Telecom strategic partner following concerns about its financial viability.

The firm is thought to have been dropped by T-Mobile late last year.

Meanwhile, in 2008, O2 issued a ‘do not deal’ notice on Fone Solutions. The company is believed to be only connecting Orange at present.

In March this year Fone Solutions merged with the Liverpool based Corporate Mobiles and Base Communications to form Fone Solutions Telecoms Group.

At the time of the merger, MD Nick Underwood-Lea said the new group’s plans included the acquisition of another company within six months, with more to  follow.
