Mainline launches Twitter page

Orange mobile phone distributor Mainline Digital Communications has launched a Twitter page.

Mainline’s corporate branded Twitter page will provide regular news and views, business updates, incentives, last minute updates on stock availability, the latest developments in mobile networks and future predictions on the market place.

Dealers can comment on the distributor’s Tweets and can also view other dealers’ responses to posts.

‘The telecommunications and technology industry are embracing Twitter as an informal communication channel,’ said Gail Hollinshead, Mainline’s director of dealer sales. ‘The beauty of Twitter is it’s simplicity – we can post stock updates, industry predictions and even some lighthearted messages too – like World Cup news. Also, as you can only post 140 characters all messages have to be succinct and to the point.

‘This is a quick and convenient way for us to communicate with our dealers and they can get up-to-the-minute Tweets no matter where they are.’
