Acision appoints new CDO to drive growth

Mobile data specialist Acision has appointed investment banker Basil Geoghegan as chief development officer to oversee the company’s growth strategy, corporate finance and future business development.

Geoghegan has more than 15 years’ experience in the financial sector at Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs. Geoghegan was MD of  Goldman Sachs’ London based financial institutions group before joining Deutsche Bank in 2009, where he was responsible for supporting all of the firm’s UK and Irish investment banking clients.

Basil’s experience in advising a broad range of leading private sector organisations on key financial issues will be fundamental to stimulating Acision’s ongoing growth.’

Basil Geoghegan said: ‘Acision’s heritage in mobile messaging, combined with its experience in delivering high quality and reliable mobile data solutions to an extensive global customer base, has helped it to establish a strong position in the mobile market. My focus will be to reinforce its position in mobile data while driving forward the expansion of the company through strategic financial development.’
