T-Mobile reviews staff working practice
T-Mobile is undertaking a review of its staff working practice in its retail estate. The operator informed its staff of the changes, which include a change to lone worker policy, on Monday.

Staff will now have to wait for at least one other member of staff before opening a store. The move comes after reports that a T-Mobile store in London was targeted for its iPhones while staff were opening a shop.

T-Mobile denied that the review of working practice was connected to the incident, but confirmed the review would take place.

A T-Mobile spokesperson said: ‘Due to a recent increase in the number of security incidents across the industry, we are undertaking a review of all our working practices to ensure the safety of our store teams.’

One T-Mobile staffer said: ‘It is a good move from T-Mobile, but it could be difficult to manage time as effectively. I know some managers like to get in early, but they will now have to wait for someone else to be there.’
