LG announces multimedia sharing service at IFA
LG announced a new service allowing users to share multimedia content between LG products and one of its Windows Phone 7 handsets at the IFA in Berlin.

The multimedia service allows users to send files from their handsets to compatible products within the same Wi-Fi zone.

LG is part of the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) and the service will work with all DLNA products.

The LG Optimus 7, LG’s first Windows Phone 7, will have the service embedded in it.

LG Electronics vice president of mobile handset R&D Mr Seong-jin Park said: ‘This unique feature is a direct response to the growing need for technologies that empower users to share multimedia content across electronic devices. LG Optimus 7 smartphones will be at the centre of a complete entertainment experience, representing LG’s leadership in mobile convergence.’
