Nokia Solutions chief Vanjoki to exit
Nokia Mobile Solutions chief Anssi Vanjoki will leave the company in six months after handing in his resignation.
Vanjoki, who is leaving to ‘seek new opportunities’, will continue in his current tasks for the time being.
He is the second Nokia executive to exit in recent weeks. Last week, Nokia confirmed it had appointed former Microsoft chief Stephen Elop as CEO. He will take on the role on September 21, replacing Nokia’s current top man Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo.
Vanjoki said: ‘I felt the time has come to seek new opportunities in my life. At the same time, I am 100% committed to doing my best for Nokia until my very last working day. I am also really looking forward to this year's Nokia World and sharing news about exciting new devices and solutions.’
