Fonehouse hunts for 20 new b2b partners

Fonehouse is on the hunt for at least 20 new b2b franchise partners as it
prepares to launch into the b2b market next month.

The b2b partners will be recruited over the next 12 months, mainly in
London, the South East of England and along the South Coast.

The recruitment drive has been triggered by Fonehouse's new b2b programme, which launches on 1 October. Under the programme, new and existing franchise partners will target small local businesses, selling packages of one to 10 handset deals in partnership with Vodafone, T-Mobile and eventually Orange.

In a parallel move, Fonehouse is also boosting its retail franchise partner
numbers, with eight new retail partners signing up by the end of the year.
This will increase the total number of retail franchise partners to 65.

Fonehouse MD Clive Bayley (pictured) told Mobile: 'Now we are starting our b2b drive we are taking onloads more partners in the b2b space - we aim to have 20 by this time next year.'

Bayley said the retailer's expansion into b2b will begin in the South East
of England but added: 'Logistically, we will start in the South East but
that is not to say it is exclusive to the South. If there were potential
partners in the North clamouring to join us, we would not rule that out.

'But the first three months will be spent getting the proposition right,
then there will be a big push in January in the South and then later in the
North of the country.'

Bayley said Fonehouse will showcase its b2b push at the National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC on 2 October. 'We want to encourage franchisees to sign up with us - we are really beefing up the business now,' he added.
