Nokia's Mark Squires lands new job

Former head of communications moves to Finland for new Nokia role

Nokia’s former head of communications, Mark Squires, started his new role as the company’s director of social media on January 1.

The Finland-based position will involve
working with the on-line social media to build internal and external resources and relationships for Nokia.

Nokia’s former communications manager, Anna Shipley, will replace Squires as head of communications at the company.

Squires said in an email to colleagues:

‘Over the last five years heading up communications for the good ship UK (and the last ten years that some of you have had to endure my ramblings) I have grown to know many of you as friends and it is with genuine sadness that I will be moving on.’
