This year has been the one in which the power dynamic in the mobile market has continued to change. BT’s purchase of EE has placed the British telecoms giant right back in the mobile market. As CEO of Consumer for the Group Jon Petter will certainly have an impact on the consumer mobile market alongside EE CEO Marc Allera.
It is early days for the combined business, but the signs for are already positive. EE performed well at the first set of joint results and integration costs have turned out to be less than originally forecast. The first signs of the business making the most of its joint assets to cross sell services are already beginning to emerge. BT Sport will be offered to EE customers from the Summer as the business units continue to be combined.
