James has guided Dixons Carphone to another incredibly successful 2016. Following a year of integration and expansion the business has continued to grow. The combined business has consistently outperformed, delivering barnstorming results and growing the value of the company by over 40%.
Dixons Carphone has used its powerful market position to great effect with James a driving force. He has taken a leading role in the market, working with operator and manufacturer partners to great effect.
Not only has he successfully lead at the boardroom level, James has continued to engage with staff from all levels of the company.
The merger has seen an exceptional period of expansion for Carphone Warehouse. With growth from its core estate and over 270 new ‘stores within stores’ opening in Currys PC World outlets, Carphone has reported rising revenues and customer satisfaction levels, with market share at an all-time high of 25%.
James recently confirmed an accelerated roll-out of the fully integrated 3-in-1 stores to sit alongside a refreshed standalone CPW estate. CPW’s new MVNO, iD has been a success, passing the 250,000 sales mark within five months.
Looking ahead, the Group is trialling multi-play propositions, same day deliveries and Click and Collect of small electrical goods from CPW stores.
