Thanks to the work of Malleschitz, we can now add a moonwalking pony to an opera singing advocate of price comparison sites and a meerkat called Aleksandr in the lexicon of advertising greats. The advert was a social media sensation, viewed more than six million times on YouTube. The longer term benefits will be seen in Three’s numbers in the months to come, but the confidence of putting its faith in a Shetland pony to lead its ad campaign shows the operator is not afraid to do something different.
One manufacturer said: ‘He is a great visionary and is taking Three to a new level, leading the evolution of Three to that of a young, trendy and exciting brand.’
