Marks and Spencer veteran Martin Jones came to Vodafone less than a year ago, but he has a very busy in-tray. Like its rivals, the operator is keen to custom build its stores for the next five years of change. Given what we have just experienced in the market during the previous five years, this is no mean feat.
Jones’ immediate priority will be putting the finishing touches on Vodafone’s £50m refresh of its store estate. The three year programme was launched under former consumer director Srini Gopolan and is designed to respond to a fast changing market. Much needed in today’s mobile industry then.
