Agenda setting and nimble are hardly words you would think of to describe the corporate supermarket behemoth that is Tesco, but its mobile offering has thrived under the second year of leadership of CEO Roger Fogg. Its Family Perks have been a neat way of driving customer loyalty by adding more extras according to how many relatives sign up to Tesco Mobile. And it was the first company to promise to lock in the full price of a contract for its duration. Given the volume and ferocity of customer complaints to mid-contract price rises, this was a shrewd move. Tesco Mobile under Fogg demonstrates that even the big MVNO players can be as nimble and fast moving as the smaller fries.
