Thorsten Heins - CEO, BlackBerry
The towering figure at the top of BlackBerry has rung in the changes since he was appointed CEO – pushing back the launch of its make or break BB10 OS to early 2013, cutting a swathe through staff and installing his own top team. Heins’ gamble of delaying the launch of its next generation operating system has appeared to pay off, with it shifting one million BB10 handsets across a handful of territories during a handful of weeks. BlackBerry’s CEO has been moving at speed, ensuring the manufacturer is cutting deals with corporate customers globally, and shifting down the price points in releasing BB10 devices. Retailers are hopeful Heins will dish out the must-have goods.
