Peter Chou - CEO, HTC
A crucial year for the HTC head. Peter Chou has vowed to quit if the HTC One is not a success, so the pressure is on to make its flagship work. Trade sources said that things have improved; its long standing problem of marketing appears to have been tackled and the partnership with the Champions League has given HTC pole position at one of the world’s most sought after sporting events. Chou’s moves in replacing a swathe of senior executives who have recently left the company will be critical. The trade is praying he gets it right, as HTC continues to rival Apple as the industry’s phone maker of choice.
