Dan Meader - mobile director, TalkTalk
Since TalkTalk hired former O2 man Meader as its head of mobile in early 2012, the company has been increasingly flexing its muscles in the mobile space. Formerly a prepay player, Meader launched a handset offer last summer to bolster its proposition. It has stayed true to its roots in trying to carve out a niche as a low-cost value player, offering high end handsets from £25 per month. Meader has received plaudits for sniffing out new markets, with the MVNO keen to sell in business deals to its broadband customers. Customers have responded favourably, with TalkTalk singling out mobile as a more and more important part of its overall business.
