Location: Waltham Abbey
Production Manager urgently required. The successful candidate MUST have previous experience / knowledge of the mobile phone industry and previously worked as a workshop manager. The Production Manager’s role will be to plan, organise, coordinate and control production within the processing department, overseeing the processing / production lines.
As well as managing production you will be expected to have an excellent knowledge of mobile phones and electronic products as well as a complete understanding of the mobile phone industry, including knowledge of high end and low end products and an excellent understanding of computers.
Our client is looking for a professional, with good people and time management skills, project management, ability to prepare reports, good knowledge of Information technology. You must be decisive and committed, with excellent Communication and presentation.

The main activities for this role will be to Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedure for all production operations, Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals, Working out the human and material resources needed, Track competencies of staff and provide leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives, Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed, Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programs, Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices., Liaising among different departments e.g. managers. Optimize resource utilization by implementation of an effective production organization, Working with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals, Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed. Ensure coaching and development of resources to meet business’s objectives, Supervising and motivating a team of workers and Reviewing the performance of staff
The products are mainly phones that have come in via our clietns trade in service, the data needs to be cleared, processed and boxed etc. This is done by approx 50 staff. Our client has an excellent bespoke system that is easily adopted.
As public transport isn’t in our clients favour you will most likely need to drive.
